What To Expect

What To Expect When Commissioning Jewelry

If you’re considering commissioning a unique piece of jewelry, you can expect collaboration.

Upon your initial inquiry, I will ask a few questions about what you have in mind. This initial consultation is free and is designed to help us both determine if my work will meet your desires and needs.

As the conversation progresses, a loose design will begin to develop. We will begin to discuss materials, design elements, time frame, technical specifics, and budget.

When we’ve come to a consensus about your custom piece, I will prepare an estimate that outlines the details. We can tweak further if needed, and a deposit is required to begin the actual making process. Then I will get busy in the studio making your custom piece. There may be some additional steps along the way, such as custom fittings. When the piece is complete, the final payment is collected and the piece is carefully packaged for shipping or gift-giving or both.

sketch-to-silverI appreciate any and all feedback from my clients. Any maintenance cleaning, polishing, or future repair of the piece is complimentary for as long as my hands continue to work well.

Please read the FAQ for even greater details about the process.
