Ginger Prepares to Move and Expand the Studio
After five years as the resident metalsmith at The Cotton Company, Ginger is pleased to announce her upcoming move to her own solo space.Lede Studio - Ginger's new studio home - will be launched in the summer of 2010. Lede will also be in downtown Wake Forest, located in a building that was built in 1962 to house the operations of the local newspaper, The Wake Weekly. There are still many artifacts from those days of hot type and hand-fed offset press techniques in that building. Lede Studio's mission is to honor that history through narrative art.
Ginger will maintain her fully equipped metals studio, as well as a contemporary gallery space at Lede. She will also be offering metalsmithing classes, with plans to expand into other techniques. Custom jewelry design and creation, fine artisan jewelry, and expert jewelry repair will all still be available.
