   green studio practices


  • Whenever possible, we use refined/reclaimed/recycled metal in the studio, namely Harmony Metals.
  • Responsibly mined and fairly traded stones are the only ones we purchase.
  • All studio chemicals are properly disposed.
  • All metal wastes (even the floor sweepings and hand wipes) are carefully collected and refined to be reused.

   customer service policy

Customer satisfaction is a priority. Any retail item (not commissioned) that is purchased from the artist may be returned unworn for exchange within 15 days of purchase in original, undamaged packaging.

Because of the client-specific nature of commissioned pieces, these pieces are not returnable or refundable. Every care is taken to ensure that commissioned pieces are created according to the client's wishes, using such measures as prototypes for fitting, visits or emailed photos of pieces in process, and extensive communication all during the process.

Whether buying in person or via email communication, you are buying directly from the artist, Ginger Meek Allen. Thank you for shopping "local and handmade."

   payment and shipping terms

Commissioned jewelry will be completed and shipped in the time frame agreed upon during discussions of the commissions.

Orders shipping within the continental U.S. are sent via USPS priority mail for a flat rate of $8. Expedited shipping is available via Fedex; additional charges apply and are the responsibility of the client.

International orders will be sent via Fedex. Rates and transit times will vary according to your location.

THE MAIN THING: Your personal information is not ours to share.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: Commissioned pieces photographed upon completion for our records and/or for inclusion in the artist's portfolio. This may include usage on this website, in marketing materials and in the related blog. Whenever a commissioned piece is featured online or in marketing materials, any information included regarding the piece is limited to the technical specifics and the intended symbolism of the piece. This may include sharing limited information about the client's purpose in commissioning the piece (ie. wedding, honoring a grandmother, etc.), but the identity of the client is never revealed.

YOU SHOULD ALSO KNOW: Financial information is collected securely by Paypal (online) or The Cotton Company (locally) and is never stored by Ginger Meek Allen Metalsmith. Email addresses and other contact information are kept securely as a matter of studio records by Ginger Meek Allen Metalsmith. Client requests to opt out of receiving any email correspondence are always honored.
